MEYER
Meyer Hamina, a historic stone building built in 1890 by A. W. Meyer, is one of Hamina's most significant landmarks. Designed by the architects Kiseleff & Heikel, the building has been used as a hotel and restaurant from the very beginning, being the centre of social life in the town for more than a century. Meyer Hamina's walls conceal artistic treasures, such as the magnificent murals painted by Tove Jansson in 1952, depicting historic Hamina and the mystique of the sea. Meyer Hamina is not just a building, but a living part of the city's history and culture, providing a unique meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
